We grabbed a bite to eat at the Atlantic Surf. Here was our dining view:
On Sunday, we checked out of the hotel and boarded our bus at 12noon. We arrived at Terminal 2 around 12:15pm and was directed to the preferred line. Once we were checked, processed, and scanned, we were ready to tour the beautiful Regal Princess. This ship is huge and magnificent!
We took the stairs from deck 7-Promenade up to deck 15-Marina to find the entrance blocked with a sign saying the cabins were would be ready around 1pm. We went up one level to deck 16-Lido and saw the Trident Grill, fountain pool, MUTS, Swirls, and Horizon Court/Bistro.
We were ready to have lunch as well put down our heavy backpacks and my shoulder bag. The buffet had a nice selection as well as a pastry shop. Pictures will be posted soon!
We found our cabin ready at the designated time and a few minutes later our luggage arrived. Shiva, our room steward, is very personable and we chatted with him a bit. He's very observant and very attentive. I have to say he's one of the best stewards we've had in the 14 cruises we've taken. That says a lot.
Muster was at 3:15pm (7 short and one long signal) and met our group on deck-7 Promenade near the Art Gallery. The whole process took about 15 minutes and we were back in our room. Sail away was sometime after 4:30pm. The Captain blasted one long horn and then played "The Love Boat" melody with the horns. Sweet!
We went exploring and ended up at MUTS to watch the Redskins game. The ship is gorgeous and we could easily get used to our new home:
